Chapter 14
Meanwhile, Mac had already reunited with Willow,
She had no idea what kind of chaos had unfolded at the train station… or that her son had just caused a five–alarm–level incident, When the little guy came sprinting back like a whirlwind, Willow looked at him with worry all over her face.
“Mac, where did you run off to? Mommy’s been looking everywhere for you.”
The second he saw her expression, Mac knew; yup, Mommy was still clueless about the trouble he’d stirred up. What a silly mommy,
His eyes curved into a crescent as he grinned. “Don’t worry, Mommy! It’s my first time here, I got curious and just went for a quick look, Mommy, this place is so lively!”
“Of course it is,” Willow replied with a chuckle. “This is one of the biggest cities in the country. But still, there are too many people here… you can’t run off like that. What if someone tried to kidnap you? What would Mommy, your big brother, and little brother do without you?”
Mac patted his tiny chest confidently. “Relax, Mommy! If a kidnapper ran into me, you should be worried for the kidnapper. Seriously… do they even know who my mommy is? I’m super smart, no way I’d get snatched!”
“You and that sassy mouth.” Willow scolded him playfully, but her eyes were full of love.
Mac wrapped his arm around her. “Okay, okay, don’t stress. Look, I’m safe and sound, right? Let’s hurry and get something to eat, Mommy. My tummy’s caving in, and I bet Big Bro and Little Adam are starving too!”
Truthfully, he was more worried that the mean lady might show up and upset his mommy.
Willow smiled warmly. “Alright, Mommy’s going to treat you guys to something super yummy.”
“Yesss!” The three little ones nodded in perfect sync.
Brad smoothly took the rolling suitcase from Willow. “Let me handle this, Mommy.”
Mac quickly grabbed her backpack. “Ladies just need to stay beautiful. All the heavy lifting is the gentlemen’s job.”
Even Adam chimed in, stretching out his tiny hand. “Mommy pull–pull, Adam holdy–you tight.”
Willow felt like a princess surrounded by her knights, her heart blooming with joy as she held Adam’s tiny hand and led her boys out of the station.
No one noticed that not far behind them, a pair of eyes had been quietly watching the whole scene… with a gaze full of eerie amusement.

The man was smiling yet that smile was ice cold and bone deep like something or of a gir
Dragging luggage around while searching for food wasn’t exactly conventeur, so Willow dested to see in a small inn near the train station first.
She hadn’t started working yet and didn’t have much money on hand, so staying at a fary nnel was out of the question.
Her plan was simple: finalize the divorce with Damien, register the children’s hometold records, then leave Santawill city and settle down in a smaller city with mild weather. After that, she’d look for a job and warm fresh
“Mommy, are we staying here tonight?” Brad asked, glancing around the modest room
Willow knew her eldest had a bit of a clean freak streak, so she gently reassured himay
“Mommy doesn’t have much money right now, sweetie. We can’t afford anything better at the moment, so we’ll have to make do for now. But don’t worry… I’ll clean the whole place up, change the sheets and blankets to ours, and we won’t stay long. As soon as I finish what I need to do, we’ll move somewhere better, okay?”
Brad, silently thinking about the billions under his name, could only sigh internally.
His mommy was amazing in every way… except a little too naïve.
Two years ago, he’d taken his first 100,000 dollars in earnings to find her. The second she saw that much money, she completely panicked.
She didn’t believe a child could make that kind of money and thought it must be a new human trafficking scam…. give a kid 100k as bait to lure them into being sold.
She’d lost sleep for days, worried sick. He still remembered how her smile vanished during that time.
Later, when he earned his second “starter fund“… a million dollars…. he hesitated for a long time and still didn’t dare tell her. He was afraid she’d spiral again. Since then, the money had just kept coming, piling up in the bank with no chance to spend it.
It wasn’t until they were about to leave the mountains that he noticed how broke Mommy was. He secretly had Mac hand her 5,000 dollars, claiming it was from a “lucky supermarket raffle” they hit near the village.
Looking at his adorably clueless mommy, Brad sighed again in his heart. Then, with all the warmth in the

Willow’s smile deepened. “You’re such a sweet boy, Brad. Don’t worry, Mommy’s going to work hard… one day I’ll lead you all into a well–off life!”

“Yeah! Go Mommy!”
“Mommy is the bestest!” Mac and Adam cheered in unison.
Willow’s heart melted even more. “Alright, let’s go put our things inside, and then I’ll take you guys out for a good
meal.”
“Yay!” the three responded happily.
After dinner, the three little ones went to the bathroom to wash up while Willow stayed outside to change the
bedsheets.
Knock knock knock.
There was a sudden knock on the door.
Willow thought it was someone from the inn staff, so she opened it casually. “Yes…?”
“Take her!” came the sharp, cold voice.
Willow didn’t even finish her sentence before the man in black barked a cold order… two burly men stormed in and grabbed her by both arms.
“What are you doing?! Who are you? Let me go! Let me… mmph!” Her screams were quickly muffled as someone covered her mouth.
Struggling wildly, Willow was dragged out of the tiny inn.
She didn’t know where they were taking her, only that her heart was racing and panic clawed at her throat.
Not long after, she was thrown into a sleek, modern office building.
Damien was inside.
He was the textbook definition of a workaholic. Apart from his son, work was the only thing he cared about.
After dropping Nancy off at home earlier, he’d come straight here to inspect the building… he planned to buy it out.
In the office upstairs, Damien was reviewing documents when Nico knocked and entered.
“Boss Damien, we’ve confirmed everything. The four tires were destroyed using precision micro–explosives. However, the child’s background is clean. His father died early, and he’s lived with his mother and two brothers in the mountains ever since.
They just arrived in Santawill today. Nothing suspicious about the family. We’ve already brought the mother in. She’s waiting in the conference room.”
Chapter 14
Damien frowned. Micro–explosives?
He put the file down and stood up, heading straight for the meeting room.
Nico followed closely behind, knowing exactly what Damien was thinking. The fact that the explosion damaged only the tires… without harming the car’s body or passengers… meant whoever planted it had precise control over the charge. That wasn’t something a child could pull off.
Damien suspected someone was using the boy to get to him.
Over the years, too many people had wanted Damien dead. He’d learned to always stay alert.
Inside the conference room, Willow sat stiff and wide–eyed, heart pounding violently in her chest.
She had no idea what was going on. All she knew was that she’d been snatched off the street and brought to some high–end building like a criminal.
“Who are you people? Why did you bring me here? I… ”
Click.
The door swung open.
Damien entered first, surrounded by a chilling aura, his presence like a storm on the horizon.
Tall… at least six foot three… he stood out immediately like a god among mortals.
Willow spotted him instantly.
And then… her eyes widened in shock.
She forgot how to breathe.
No… it couldn’t be…
Her gaze darted over his face again.
That man… looked exactly like Brad and Mac!
Her head buzzed. Her body went cold. Her fists clenched tightly at her sides.
He… he was their father?!
He was the stranger who had destroyed her life?!
A storm of memories rushed back in a blinding wave.
Chapter 14
That night.
That darkness.
That unbearable pain.
That one night had ruined her whole life.
Because of that night, she had gotten pregnant, been publicly shamed, cursed, humiliated. She was labeled a slut, a whore, a disgrace.
From a mother’s perspective, she knew she was lucky to have her three little angels now.
But the suffering she endured… the wounds she buried… the years she lost…
All of it started with him.
That man. That stranger. That monster.
