Chapter 5
Vanessa staggered backward at his shouting, nearly falling if not for her friends catching her.
They all turned pale, exchanging fearful glances.
“If she’s really that powerful, how could this be poss-”
Ethan’s roar cut off the lackey mid–sentence.
“How could it NOT be possible?!”
“When my father believed rumors and drove Autumn away, our pack was been violently attacked that very day, and I nearly died in the hospital!”
“You think our Silveroak Pack rose to dominance by accident? You think we relied on what? We relied on HER–on Autumn!”
Vanessa was so frightened she dared not even cry loudly, looking to her friends for help.
“If this is true, we’re all finished.”
Her previously united sisterhood now fell into disarray.
“Vanessa, are you trying to get us killed? Why didn’t you check before bringing us to attack her?”
“With Autumn in this state, the Silveroak Pack will hunt us down…”
The group dissolved into tears while Vanessa’s knees gave out, making her kneel before me.
“Autumn, are you alright? I was temporarily insane earlier. Why didn’t you say you were the Moon Blessed?”
“Are you deliberately trying to cause problems between Ethan and me? How could you be so cruel?”
“The Silveroak Pack is finished, and my life is ruined…”

Chapter 5
I was in too much pain to speak. Ethan paced anxiously beside me.
However, as she cried, Vanessa suddenly had a realization.
“Wait a minute, Ethan, something’s not right.”
Ethan, who by now wanted to tear Vanessa apart, grabbed her collar.
“You’ve committed a grave error that endangers my entire pack. What could possibly be not right?!”
Trembling, Vanessa’s voice nonetheless gained confidence.
“You said she’s the Moon Blessed one, that her injuries affect the Silveroak Pack.”
“But she’s nearly dead, and you’re completely fine?!”
With these words, Ethan froze in place.
“That’s right… why am I fine?”
After confirming he felt no discomfort, Ethan became uncertain.
“Grandfather always said our Silveroak bloodline and Autumn share the same fate–rise together, fall together. This has been proven true.”
“When she was merely sent away, I nearly died from heart failure. Now that she’s so gravely injured, I should at least be half–dead. Why am I still standing here perfectly fine?”
Vanessa clenched her fist, then spoke.
“Something from decades ago can’t be verified. Maybe the Old Alpha was confused in his old age.”
“As for this ‘shared fate‘ business, it sounds like just coincidence. The Silveroak Pack has reached its current status through your intelligence and hard work.”
Ethan, always belittled by Alexander, suddenly received such high praise. His eyes filled with delight.

“Vanessa, you really think so?”
Vanessa pretended to adjust her hair dramatically.
“Ethan, this isn’t just what I think–it’s fact.”
“Autumn just got lucky when your grandfather found her. Now you’re completely fine, and the pack is completely fine. That’s proof enough!”
“That bitch human couldn’t possibly be the Moon Blessed!”
Hearing this, Vanessa’s friends immediately chimed in, embellishing the slander against me.
Ethan looked at me with conflicted expression before finally nodding.
“You make sense. The fact that I’m fine is the best proof.”

Ethan emerged from his earlier panic, exhaling deeply as he pulled Vanessa into his arms.
As their eyes met, Alexander finally arrived.
