Chapter 6
Seeing the chaos in the chamber, Alexander struck Ethan’s head with his cane.
“You worthless bastard! You can’t even protect Autumn properly!”
Ethan, humiliated in front of his beloved woman, desperately tried to save face. He straightened his neck and quickly defended himself.
“Dad, listen to me–Grandfather has been deceiving us all these years!”
“All this talk about Autumn being the Moon Blessed–it’s completely false!”
Alexander’s belief in my status was unshakable. Seeing me so gravely injured while Ethan appeared unharmed, he nearly collapsed on the spot.
“You ungrateful, rebellious jerk! Wasn’t the last lesson enough?!”
“You dare argue? Today I’ll beat you to death to atone to Autumn!”
Ethan howled in pain from the cane strikes but maintained his position.
“You make me revere Autumn daily, treating her like a goddess. But look now–Autumn is
nearly dead, and has anything happened to our pack?!”
“Our territory are fine, I’m fine–this Moon Blessed nonsense is just nonsense!”
Alexander was furious.
“Silence! Just because nothing’s happened yet doesn’t mean nothing will happen!”
Ethan’s face was covered in welts as he sucked in his breath.
“Dad, believe me. Everything before was coincidence. Wake up!”
Alexander paused, leaning on his cane and breathing heavily, refusing to look at Ethan.
“The Silveroak Pack is vast and powerful. Other packs have coveted Autumn for years. If anything happens to her, I will never forgive you!”

Chapter 6
“Call the doctor to check Autumn’s condition. As for the rest of you–you’ll all answer for
this!”
Vanessa rolled her eyes at me.
“Alpha Alexander, this Autumn tried to seduce Ethan. She’s known all along she’s no Moon
Blessed. Her real aim is to mated into the Silveroak Pack and protect herself!”
Hearing this, Alexander hesitated.
His sharp gaze studied me for a long time, his brows furrowing deeply.
He’d always been indecisive, believing rumors easily.
If not for my forced fate manipulation these years, his pack would have been destroyed
long ago!
Ethan seized the opportunity, kneeling before Alexander.
“Dad, listen to me. She’s no Moon Blessed.”
“Everything our pack has comes from your hard work. We’ve fed and housed her for years. Are we really going to let such a little human leech off our family forever?”
Alexander retained a shred of rationality and had his beta check the pack’s status first.
After confirming the pack had no issues and neither he nor Ethan showed any symptoms, Alexander’s eyes shifted, revealing a murderous intent.
“This human is beaten beyond use. She’s clearly no longer effective.”
“Seal off all information. Nothing that happened here today leaves this room.”
My heart turned cold.
Alexander was planning to kill me!
I tried to speak through my whimpers, but Alexander covered my nose and mouth.
“Blame yourself. The Silveroak Pack is known for its benevcience. We cannot be tainted by
this disgrace.”
“Autumn, you’ve lived off my pack for years. Now you dare covet my son? You can’t blame
me for this.”
His grip tightened gradually. Unable to breathe, my vision began to darken.
Just as no air reached my lungs, Alexander was suddenly struck from behind.
A face both strange and familiar filled my vision.
“Autumn, hold on!”
