I covered my wound, my face filled with resignation.
“Stop spreading lies. I got into Ethan’s car because he begged me to!”

I sat back down in the central seat of the Moon Chamber with a cold smile. The attendants
immediately came to treat my wound.
They carefully collected the bloodied gauze and cotton swabs, even respectfully placing my
torn–out hair on the altar.
Watching this, Vanessa’s frineds inhaled sharply.
Vanessa, however, was livid. She grabbed my hair and violently pulled me from my
blackwood chair.
“You orphan bitch human, putting on airs! You dare to act entitled in the Silveroak sacred
grounds? As the future Luna, I need to teach you a lesson!”
Despite my usual composure, genuine anger rose within me.

authority. This is not a place for your tantrum!”
Vanessa remained fearless, slapping me hard across the face.
“Shut up! You academic human slut are already notorious. The Silveroak Pack would never
want you.”
“You call yourself authority? Learn your place first!”
Unable to contain myself any longer, I–struck back, my nails cutting into Vanessa’s chin.

“Ahhhhh! Hold this bitch down! I’m going to kill her!”
Her lackeys immediately pinned me down.
Vanessa kicked me in the stomach with manic force.
Human power is not worth mentioning in front of them, the pain doubled me over, nearly making me vomit blood.
The Moon Chamber attendants were terrified, trying to intervene but being shoved aside.
Gasping in pain, I ordered them to call for the steward of Alpha Alexander.
“Vanessa, let me tell you something. I’m not just anyone—I’m the only Moon Blessed human who respected by the Silveroak Pack.”
“My fate and the Silveroak Pack’s are intertwined. Harm me, and you’ll never set foot in the
pack again!”
Vanessa’s eyes widened in fury. Without hesitation, she smashed the silver wolf against my
mouth.
“Shut up! Shut your lying mouth!”
“You think I haven’t investigated? You’re a cursed human orphan who brings death. Stop
pretending!”
The blow made my teeth bite into my tongue. My mouth filled with blood, and tears fell
involuntarily.
Seeing this, Vanessa didn’t stop. Instead, she violently gripped my jaw.
“How dare you pity human pretend to be some Moon–blessed?”
“And even dream on mating with an Alpha??”
I wanted to curse her, but my tongue wouldn’t cooperate. Instead, I spat a mouthful of
blood directly at Vanessa
Caught off guard, her perfect makeup was stained with blood. She immediately slapped me.

My heart sank.
I’d thought that since Ethan needed my help, he would surely come to the Moon Chamber if he couldn’t find me at the pack house.
I never expected this fool to be so blinded by lust that he’d run off to a hotel.
Now, my sole hope rested on Lucas Moonheart. He was the alpha of the Moonheart pack, a bitter rival to the Silveroak Pack. He also knew my special identity and knew the ceremony.
Seeing my panic, Vanessa’s expression grew more vicious.
