ARIA’S POV

The realization dawns on everyone present that Regis Miller, a figure of considerable influence and power, may hold the key to diffusing the escalating chaos. The sight of individuals urgently seeking his assistance unfolds as a spectacle of desperation, highlighting the gravity of the sitation and the significance of his intervention.
But what they do not know is that Regis is my mentor. He turns to me and what he says next surprises everyone.
“Aria, why didn’t you take my help instead of trying to deal with them on your own?”
A hushed whisper catches my attention, originating from a corner of the room where two women engage in covert conversation. It strikes them as odd, for Regis Miller is not known for engaging in discourse with women, especially not in such a manner.
The anomaly of the situation piques my curiosity, hinting at a deeper layer of intrigue surrounding Regis’s involvement.
“Regis Miller in a soft tone with a woman? And that also this woman? He even know her name!”
The subtle shift in Regis’s demeanor towards outsiders does not escape notice, prompting the women to speculate on the unusual familiarity he displays towards me. Their curiosity is palpable as they ponder how Regis could be so casual in his interactions with someone outside his usual circles.
“I can handle everything, Regis. Don’t worry.”
The ladies are appalled at my informality. Without losing any second, I turn to those ladies who have spoken ill of me and ask them to apologize. But they refuse, because perhaps they are still relying on Regis to interfere despite him backing off. How stupid of them.
Immediately, I click a photo of them to threaten them, since I don’t have time to play games here.
“Do you want me to ask your husbands and fathers to apologize instead?”
Now they all start panicking.
“Please, forgive us. Pl–please…‘

Everyone begs me and they all sound like a herd of cows in the shed.
“Okay. This time I’m letting go!”
They all heave a sigh of relief and even though I am done with these ladies, I am not yet done with Suzanne who has been lying there on the floor in pain.
I approach her, shows her my phone with an email addressed to everyone at the Jackson Paragon. Through her bruised eyes, she can see the email that I am sending with her sex tape as attachment. Poor thing cannot even open her eyes fully, but her breath hitches.
She must be wondering how her tape got into my phone, but she did not realize that on that day after she spiked my drinks, I had slid a camera into the box she was carrying Since there was a hole, it recorded everything.
ADAM’S POV
After Sophia’s stomachache last time at the party, I am glad that everything is settled down. But now, the drama that unfolded before Regis‘, George’s and my eyes brought so many questions to my mind.

We have seen it all; how the ladies were fighting, creating nuisance in the building, while we gents in the other room were alerted. Before I could intervene, Regis already went up to Aria to speak to her. The guards had told us that the cause for the fight was that rumours being spread about Aria sleeping with Neal Jackson and that Suzanne was fed up of both of them.
It seems, a video was played for the people in the hall. But knowing Suzanne from last time where she had spiked Aria’s drink, I would not rely much on the rumours, because I think that day she wanted to trap Aria with that old
guy.
Nonetheless, I wanted to ask Regis something and that too in front of Aria. When I see both of them leaving, my heart burns with jealousy. If my uncle has tried hiding his feelings, I can verily read him like a book. It is obvious that he cares about Aria.
“My dear uncle, doesn’t it bother you to see Aria with a new man?”
Both Regis and Aria stare at me, puzzled.
“There’s nothing unusual in Adam believing rumours and bringing me down.”
Aria’s statement and her scornful chuckle baffle me. While I was just trying to be mean to my uncle and remove my anger on him, I have once again committed a blunder.
