After everyone received the email containing Suzanne’s scandalous sex clip, the entire office environment changed drastically. The atmosphere was thick with shock and unease, a palpable shift in the air. Those who had once thought they could mess with me now looked at me with a newfound respect, their bravado shattered to the
core.
I walked through the office with a sense of vindication, my head held high. Whispers followed me, but they were tinged with fear and admiration rather than contempt. I had made my point clear; I was not someone to be trifled with. Even the ones who had been most vocal against me now avoided my gaze, their confidence replaced by uncertainty.
The power dynamics had shifted, and I was determined to maintain this newfound respect. This was just the beginning. The project with Wellington Enterprises was starting soon, and I intended to prove my worth, not just as a leader, but as someone who could overcome any obstacle thrown my way.
However, apart from Suzanne, there was one more person who was going to face my wrath, and Neal’s, for their ⚫ relentless attempts to bring me down and their blatant violation of company rules, which nearly cost us a
profitable business deal.
I knew that just dealing with Suzanne wasn’t enough. This other individual, who had been working in the
shadows, was equally responsible for the turmoil in the company. Their actions were not only a personal attack on me but a direct threat to the company’s stability and success.
The thought of their treachery fueled my determination. Neal is in today, and I know he will support me in rooting out this internal menace. I have gathered enough evidence to confront them, and I am prepared to make an example out of them to ensure no one else will dare to follow in their footsteps.
Neal finally returns to the office and wastes no time in summoning all the board members and senior staff to the conference room. The tension in the air is obvious, with a mixture of anxiety and fear etched on their faces. They all know something big is coming. Now, it is time for me to watch another drama unfold.
“I’ll get to the point. During my absence, many things happened.”
Except me, everybody is literally shaking. Suzanne with her scars, Old Levi with a long face and other staff members who have been insolent with me look constipated
“First of all, you’ve disrespected your general manager and obstructed her projects.”
The room is so silent that I can hear everyone swallowing their saliva and holding their breaths.
“Moreover, Miss Cook has identified those responsible for the fraudulent activities within our organization!”
Upon hearing Neal, now everyone starts looking at each other and talking among themselves. Neal nods to me to reveal their names.
“Suzanne and Old Levi were in cahoot with Sam. All proofs have been gathered and submitted to Mr Jackson.”
As the room fills with gasps, Suzanne and Levi bow their heads in shame. The weight of their exposcu deceit hangs heavily in the air, their expressions reflecting the gravity of their actions. The once confident and defiant Suzanne now looks defeated, her earlier boldness shattered Levi, too, appears utterly humiliated, unable to meet anyone’s gaze. The tension in the conference room is visible, as everyone absorbs the revelation and the harsh consequences awaiting the culprits.
“Suzanne, Levi, you’re both fired!”

I feel relieved upon pronouncing their verdict. It seems they were both expected it and they remain in a battered state; helpless and hopeless.
“It’s such a shame. I trusted you both and look what damage you’ve caused to our company!”
Neal cannot control his anger as he bangs his hand on the table, sending shivers down everyone’s spines. The force of the impact echoes through the room, amplifying the tension. His eyes blaze with fury, and the room falls into an uneasy silence, each person acutely aware of the gravity of the situation.
Suzanne and Levi flinch, their shame now mixed with a palpable fear. The severity of Neal’s wrath leaves no doubt about the impending consequences for their actions.
“Anyone else on the list, Miss Cook?”
As Neal questions me, although the others are innocent, they are still very much scared.
“No one else.”
“Good, then… I hope such a thing does not occur in our company again, or I will hand the culprit directly to the police!”
Neal’s threat reverberates through the room, his steely tone making it clear he means business. The seniors exchange nervous glances, visibly shaken by the severity of his warning. It’s evident that Neal’s words have left a asting impression, ensuring they understand the gravity of the situation and the consequences of any future misconduct.
