As I realize that Eva is behind spreading those rumors, I feel a surge of anger coursing through me. How could she stoop so low? The betrayal cuts deep, and I can’t shake the sense of disbelief that someone I once considered family could betray me in such a way.
Without a moment’s hesitation, I head home, my mind racing with thoughts of confrontation and retribution Eva’s actions have ignited a fire within me, and I’m determined to extinguish it once and for all.
As soon as I walk into Eva’s room, I find both my mother and her glued to the television, where a live press conference is just beginning. How I wish those rumors were just lies. My head spins with a whirlwind of conflicting emotions, and I can feel my heart pounding in my chest. The weight of it all presses down on me, threatening to suffocate me with its intensity.
Suddenly, when Neal points at the report, and the cameraman zooms in, capturing every detail, I feel my heart throb in my chest. It’s as if time stands still, and the entire world narrows down to that single moment, filled with anticipation and uncertainty.
His voice resonates in the now quiet room.
“I didn’t want to do this, but you all forced! Aria is my long–lost sister, my blood!”
“Sister? Did I hear that correctly?”
I murmur, the words barely escaping my lips as the weight of Neal’s announcement sinks in. The color drains from Eva’s and my mother’s faces, confirming my suspicion that I heard the word correctly.
