Chapter 32 

When I walked into my apartment and turned the corner Dorian was here with Anya. 

“SKYLAR, where have you been? and what is all of that on your skin?, Anya asked. 

I walked to the hallway and looked at myself in the mirror. Of course the mad man marked me. I walked back into the hallway. 

“Out and you already know what it is” 

“Seriously Skylar. I expected better from you. What would the sisters think and say if they knew you are sleeping around and behaving this way“, she said an for some reason it just bugged me. 

“First of all, stop. Sleeping around means sleeping with different men. The ONLY man I’m sleeping with is mine. Second You have no relation to the sisters. You are no longer a NUN, let that sink in. I am being respectful and kind because of them“. 

“Skylar“, she said sounding shocked. Dorian didn’t say a word. 

“I am an adult, yes I’m with someone but I don’t intend to get pregnant or drop out of school anytime soon. You don’t need to be worried about me“. 

I looked at Dorian. “Mr. Sterling I’m not sure what your relation with Anya is and it’s none of my business however I’ve already suffered at the hands of your family once because of the lie Ivy said and if you keep coming here then someone is going to see and then I’ll be in deep shit again“, I said looking at him. 

“SKYLAR“, Anya shouted 

“She isn’t wrong Anya. I’m sorry Skylar. I’ll handle this” he said looking at me 

“Sure“, I said walking into my room. Once there I dropped onto the bed and closed my eyes. 

The past two months, I studied my ass off then went to work and went home. Dorian rarely came to my apartment anymore. I guess Dorian was going to war with his family over Anya. I never asked her anything nor did she tell me. 

Once a week Asher came and got me and we went for a drive or somewhere. I spent many nights with him. Summer vacation was coming up and I would need to visit the orphanage. 

Something was going on with Anya, she no longer spoke to me and stayed locked in the room and I didn’t pry. Whenever Dorian saw me, he just nodded at me and that was it. Last night I was with Asher, he took me, and Miles out, he took us to a club two cities over. He came one night, and Miles was here. Its been four months total and I still haven’t seen his face. Miles fainted when he saw 

him. 

I was hung over, I woke up to loud banging. I sat up immediately and rushed into the living room. I saw Anya hiding in a corner. 

“It’s Emelda” she said. the banging on the front door became louder. I looked at her. 

“This is exactly what I didn’t want to happen“, I said walking back into the room I grabbed my phone walked back out. Thet were knocking louder. I dialed his number and put the phone on speaker. 

ASHER: Love, I’m in a very important meeting 

SKLYAR: Emelda Sterling and her men are outside trying to break down my fucking door. 

ASHER: Stay inside. I already warned you Skylar. If you get hurt because of her, I’ll strangle the fucking life out of her with my bare 

hands.

Chapter 32 

SKYLAR: Asher you’re on speaker, 

ASHER: I don’t give a nick if she hears. You are mine and if you get hurt because of anyone they’ll regret it. Let her call, Sterling. 

“I did but he didn’t answer” Anyn said from the corner. 

SKYLAR: she did he didn’t answer. 

ASHER: go back to sleep. Samuel will handle them. I’ll find Dorian Sterling myself. Also get your stuff you’re not staying there 

anymore. 

SKAYLAR: you already paid two years are you insane 

ASHER: Do you think I’ll let you stay there when they know you live here? Fuck no. now pack up and she’s not going with you. 

He ended the call and I looked at Anya. The banging on the door stopped. 

“Everyone around here seems to think I have something to do with Dorian and I don’t, but his family doesn’t believe that. Why 

I’m sorry but if you exactly did you come here? If you’re here to reconnect with Dorian then okay, fine. But you can’t stay with me. do, you’ll be putting my college education in jeopardy”. 

“I understand. Who did you call“? she asked me. 

“My boyfriend“, 

“Dorian doesn’t want to be with me” she said quietly, and I looked at her. Wait what?. I thought they were together.
