Chapter 36 

I turned away and headed back down the hill to the orphanage. Once there one look at me and sister Margret already know something happened. I headed straight up and grabbed my stuff. I changed into jeans and shirt and headed down. 

Sister Margret was standing at the bottom of the stairs. 

“I’m sorry but I can’t be here” 

“Very well. Leave it all behind you Skylar and focus on you“, she said tucking my hair behind my ears. 

“I always hoped that my mother was someone good, caring and considerate as you. When I’m settled, I’ll return home“. 

“And you will always be welcomed here“. She said 

I gave her a hug and left through the back gate. I walked the one hour to the bus station. Ernie was the only one there. He was in his sixty’s bald and skinny. 

“Hey there sky. What’s wrong“?, he asked 

“Hi Ernie. Just waiting for the first bus”. 

“But that’s at eight. You gonna wait here all night“?, he asked concerned 

“Yea why not. I’ve got you to keep me company“. I said and he began laughing. Ernie and I chatted throughout the night. I had way more coffee than I should have. It was almost eight when Ernie handed me my ticket. I saw the bus pulling up in the distance. 

I heard my name being called. When I looked to the Left he was walking towards me. 

“I’m heading back to Havenwood. Why don’t you come with me. It’ll be faster and comfortable“. he said. 

“I’m not saying this to be rude or disrespectful, I am an Orphan and will remain one I have a relationship with the nuns at the orphanage. I fell in love with someone that doesn’t exist you lied, and used me and I can never forgive you for that Dorian. You are no longer that person, which means you are a stranger to me. I wish you all the best. Please excuse me Mr. Sterling” 

I walked over and got onto the bus and left him standing there. When the bus pulled out of the station he was gone. I could have flown there but didn’t feel like it. On the way there, I borrowed Arties phone and called Miles. 

MILES: hello 

SKYLAR: Hey Miles. You have the spare key. Can you go over there right now you have one hour before they get back. Can you move all my stuff out of the apartment and leave the keys on the table. He’ll know what that means. 

MILES: Sky? 

SKYLAR: yea. I’m on my way back 

MILES: okay baby girl but you’ll own me big time 

SKYLAR: sure. 

When I returned to Havenwood. I went straight to the Club. When I walked in I saw him sitting there with a woman, I ju him. The minute Miles saw me he came running.

“Baby girl you’re backkkk” he said grabbing me in a big hug.
