CHAPTER 100

ARIA’S POV

My question doesn’t seem to faze Sophia at all. Instead, she keeps running her mouth, accusing me of turning off the cameras beforehand. Her accusations are relentless, and her confidence in her lies is infuriating. How can she be so brazen, so sure of herself? It’s almost as if she’s rehearsed this act a thousand times

Perhaps because you were going to do something else while no one was at home?”

In fact, she’s the one who barged in and charged at me, despite my efforts to avoid a confrontation. Yet here she is, turning everything around and making it seem like I’m the aggressor. The sheer audacity of her actions is infuriating

Nonetheless her accusations, especially about the cameras, are a clever move. She’s trying to create doubt, to make it seem like I’m the one hiding something. It’s a manipulative tactic, designed to turn the suspicion back onto me. And it’s workingher calmness, her relentless talking, it’s all designed to make me look guilty

How did you know nobody was at home?”

Still, she has the audacity to call me dumb and claim that she had no idea no one was home, insinuating that if anyone had been around, I wouldn’t have dared to attack her. Her arrogance is staggering. She stands there, cool and collected, accusing me with a smirk on her face, as if she’s enjoying every moment of this twisted game

Adam’s silence is suffocating. Every second that passes feels like an eternity, and I can feel the weight of his unspoken words pressing down on me. The tension is unbearable, each moment pregnant with the potential for an outburst

It is like standing on the edge of a cliff, waiting for the inevitable fall. I can’t help but feel a growing sense of dread, fearing that at any moment, his anger will erupt, and I’ll be the target once again. The anticipation is tearing me apart, leaving me anxious and on edge

Her words cut deep, and the sheer boldness of her lies makes my blood boil. It is as if she is relishing in my frustration, knowing exactly how to push my buttons. But, something is definitely fishy

As I recall the events of the evening, a troubling thought crosses my mind. I remember how, after I finished my dinner and was about to get up, one of the maids swiftly cleared the table while another hurried off from the room. It seemed odd at the time, but I didn’t pay much attention to it. Now, though, I can’t shake the feeling that there might be more to it

If I were to bring it up now, though, Adam might not believe me, especially with the anger I can see brewing on his face with each of Sophia’s accusations. It’s a risk I’m not sure I’m willing to take, but if there’s any chance it could help clear my name, I might have to

How is your baby, Aria? Mine is gone, but how about yours? It’s Adam’s so I am concerned.”

Oh, wow! Sophia’s pretense of concern for me and the supposed baby in my womb is nothing short of revolting. It’s both pathetic and utterly disgusting

So, the misunderstanding between Grandpa and me, which unfolded in Adam’s presence, seems to have made its way to Sophia’s ears. It appears that everything that happens at home is being reported by húrried off earlier

Don’t worry about me, Sophia. I’m not pregnant. I wonder where you got such news!”

The news left her bewildered, and her expression was telling; pale and filled with terror. I can’t stress enough how baffled I am about how and from where she got this news

She can’t feign innocence and play these manipulative games to win every time. This time, I’m not letting her get with it. The look of shock on her face when confronted with this unexpected turn of events was almost satisfying

Adam, can I have a word with you in private?”

My question astonishes Sophia and Adam stops frowning, nodding at me

Adam, we just lost our babyPlease, stay with me. You can’t leave me like this.”
