ADAM’S POV
Knowing about Aria’s dream to work with Wellington Enterprises, I made sure my company joined this project. Aria has no idea that I’ve been stalking her, meticulously gathering every piece of information about her new role as the general manager at Jackson Paragon the very guy Leespise!
Aria thinks that I gave her a divorce and walked away? Not a chance! I’m determined to fight until the end to win her back. I love her deeply, and although it might seem too late, it’s never truly too late for a second chance.
While I’m proud of her success, I can’t shake the guilt of holding her back. I’ve always underestimated her, keeping her under my control, and she never deserved that kind of treatment. She deserved freedom and respect, and now I realize how much I’ve wronged her.

Just as I’m about to slip away from Sophia, her anguished shout pierces the air. I rush immediately to her room, and she is holding her tummy. It appears she is suffering from a stomachache.
“Hang on, Sophia, I’ll call the doctor.”
She glances at me, wincing in pain, unable to speak.
In a few minutes, our family doctor arrives and examines Sophia who is still wriggling in pain. Her distress eases only when the doctor assures her of her well–being. Relief washes over her, but beneath it, a lingering question remains, was her pain genuine, or a cry for attention?
“Just take care since you’re three months pregnant.”
The doctor’s abrupt revelation catches me off guard, sending a jolt of disbelief through me. Turning to Sophia, I see her face flush with embarrassment, her eyes avoiding mine as if unable to meet my gaze. It’s a moment laden with unspoken tension, the air thick with the weight of the doctor’s words and Sophia’s reaction.
As Sophia attempts to protest, her voice strained and unconvincing, I can’t shake the nagging feeling of doubt that gnaws at me. Despite her efforts to contradict the doctor, her demeanor betrays a sense of unease, further fueling my suspicion. There’s something about her reaction, a subtle shift in her demeanor, that leaves me questioning the truth of the situation.
“Oh doctor, you missed on my last report. I’m only one month pregnant.”
Despite my disbelief, I can’t fathom the idea of the doctor making such a serious error. However, I choose to remain silent, opting to observe the unfolding, situation rather than voice my doubts.

I’m taken aback by the doctor’s intrusion into our personal affairs. Who is he to dictate our relationship status, especially considering I haven’t disclosed my divorce to Sophia? His suggestion for us to marry, given my undisclosed marital status, only complicates matters further. It feels like an unnecessary and unwelcome intrusion into our private lives. But then, I realize that the doctor is trying to cover up his mistake.
