Chapter 13
My little sister knew about our parents‘ plan from the beginning, but she was willing to be the bait.
Only after William raped her did she accidentally discover a photograph and a terrible truth.
She was actually the biological daughter of William and my older sister.
Years ago, my parents had visited many orphanages, just to choose a girl who resembled my older sister.
Yet ironically, fate played a cruel trick–the girl they chose turned out to be my older sister’s biological daughter.
My little sister, overwhelmed with pain, chose suicide.
My parents, unable to accept this reality, ended their lives to cleanse their sins.
Finally, in the year before suicide, my mother identified that scum–William.
And I have lived until now just to wait for this scum to walk into my carefully designed trap, to tell him of his crimes, and to make him suffer the most cruel retribution.
I could no longer hide my hatred, my eyes revealing venomous intent, as I said the final words to William:
“Also, that medical report confirming your diagnosis–I forged it. You don’t have cancer at all.”
William trembled all over, drenched in sweat, as if he had heard the most horrifying news.
Soon after, Detective Thompson personally led the team that arrested me.
Because cemetery security footage showed me drugging William and taking him away.
Police questioned me for hours, but I never revealed William’s whereabouts.
Until the day I was sentenced to death, I finally smiled.
It’s like the smile that my little sister, Mom, Dad and Grandma had on their faces when they committed suicide–a smile of relief.
William Rhodes, that monster, was locked in a place only I knew about.
No food, no water, just a prison he could never escape.
He would spend his final moments in despair.
These days of torment could never cleanse him of his crimes.
And I went willingly to my execution.
I hope in the next life, my little sister finds peace and happiness. while I use my life to atona fa- —
