Rosella had agreed to spend one month with Elliot, during which she had to be there whenever he needed her. And she couldn’t refuse his requirements, whatever it was.
As it got colder unknowingly, Rosella became a lot duller. She didn’t notice that and then said, “Gotta go. Bye.”
Millard leaned aside and then chuckled. “Elliot won’t marry you. Stop wasting your effort.”
Any man who had a decent family in Tolville wouldn’t fancy Rosella for now. This was the stone–cold truth.
Having been through so much, how could Rosella not know she was a total nuisance?
Her ears were red and scarred due to the cold injury. It was from this perspective that Millard got to see her eyes clearly. Her smile was clear, innocent, and resolute.
“How would I know if I don’t give it a shot?”
Her smile and eyes reminded Millard of the past. He also used to warn her sternly, “I don’t like you. Nor will I marry you. Don’t waste your effort on me.”
At that time, Rosella wasn’t as serious and affectionate as today. She merely said jokingly, “If you don’t marry me, I’ll be your girlfriend for a lifetime.”
That memory became a sharp knife to strike her.

“Looks like you haven’t learned enough before.”
“Just because I’ve been through that, things can’t be worse.”
Rosella had moved on from Millard. When it came to the past, she looked composed. Her eyes were filled with sorrow though she was smiling. “I need to head there quickly.”
As she arrived three minutes later, Elliot pulled a long face. He summoned her here to serve his lover rather than bond with her.
His lover was Gladys, an arrogant actress, who was snuggling against Elliot’s arms. She looked at Rosella spitefully. “Elliot, is this the woman your family has set up with you?”
To humor Gladys, Elliot beckoned Rosella here for humiliation. “Yeah, she is.”
“How can she be worthy of you?”
The woman sat up and rolled down the window. Shaking Elliot’s arm, she said, “You can’t marry her. No way!”
“OK, OK.” Coquetry did work well on Elliot. “She’s yours now. You can do whatever you want with her.”
The two of them sat in the commercial vehicle leisurely. They looked Rosella up and down as if she were a clown. She had been fed alcohol and vomited. Standing against the wind, she looked pale and pathetic. Despite Elliot and Gladys‘ lovey–dovey words, she remained aloof.
She could do anything as long as Mollie could be relieved.
Elliot opened the car door and yelled as if ordering his maid, “Hey, do you remember what you’ve promised me?”
“Yes.” Rosella lowered her eyes.

“Gladys‘ assistant is sick. You’ll stay with her and do whatever she asks.”
Elliot was young and childish. To make Rosella hate him, he was even being so mean to her. Actually, he wanted her to piss off. Yet, she appeared like such a pushover. “OK, sure.”
Elliot was rendered speechless for a while. “How tolerant of you! You’re asking for this.”
Millard had just been back from one week’s business trip. It was then
that he realized that Rosella had been with Elliot lately.
Dewey also said playfully, “In fact, she’s serving his lover.“.
“Serving?”
How could Rosella possibly serve anyone? She had been pampered since she was born.
“You’ve been abroad lately.” Dewey shook his head and with a sigh, he leaned back against the sofa and raised his face. A gleam flashed into his eyes. “You couldn’t imagine how humble Rosella was. Even I’m not in the mood to make fun of her Too boring.”
Rosella had been fooled by Dewey, made to eat garbage by Jillian, and now treated as a maid by Elliot.
Any ordinary person couldn’t bear that.
This time, even Millard was doubting whether Rosella had actually changed. “Where’s she?”
Dewey also opened his eyes. “What?
