I saw two men walk in and grab her. “Miles go with them” he said after everyone left he went and locked the door and came back to

me.

“let me see you. Are you hurt anywhere bunny“? he asked

“Take the mask off”

“Skylar“, he said in the tone that I knew.

He let out a sigh, he pulled the cap off and then the mask. And I felt my world rip apart. Dorian Sterling was standing in front of

“Skylar let me explain“, he said. I raised my hands stopping him. I was too shocked and numb.

He tried to touch my face, and I pulled away, he grabbed me by my neck.

“I’m the only one that will ever fuck you. you will always fucking be mine.” He said kissing me and I managed to push him away.

I walked out of the apartment and out of the complex and just started walking. My mind was blank. I heard a car pull up next to me but I kept walking.

“Sky get in“.

I turned and looked at Miles.

“Asher Is Dorian Sterling“?,

“Shit“, he said

And all I could do was cry.

“Hey honey I’m sorry. I suspected it when I saw him, but I wasn’t sure“? he said

“He lied to me, he used me Miles“? I said through tears.

When we pulled up to his place, He just sat there holding me and letting me cry. After a while I calmed down.

Just then his phone began ringing. He answered and put it on speaker.

MILES: Hello

DORIAN: Is She with you.?

I shook my head no.

MILES: Asher?

DORIAN: yes

MILES: No, she isn’t, isn’t she with you at the apartment

DORIAN: she isn’t.

MILES: I’ll call her

DORIAN: it’s fine I’ll find her

He ended the call and I looked at Miles. “What are you going to do Baby girl“? he asked.

“Only thing to do. Leave. Semester break will start in a week. Can I bide out here until I’m ready to leave“?

“Of course you can“, he said.

“Thank you, Miles,”

I slept in Miles’s spare room. I couldn’t sleep, my mind was working overtime. I knew I would have to go back for my stuff. The next morning when Miles saw me he knew, I didn’t sleep. After breakfast he went to work, and I went back to the apartment complex.

I took my time walking in, I didn’t use the elevator, I needed time to think about everything. When I walked through the Door it was quiet.

I grabbed some of my stuff and put it in my backpack. It was almost unch hour. I left and headed straight to the admin office. I knocked and went in Dean Giddens was there.

“Hello Ms. Raines what can I do for you“?, he asked.

“Hello Mr. Giddens. Seeing as all exams are over, is it possible to take an early leave. The sisters need me urgently“. I said hoping he

agrees.

“I don’t see why not. As long as you don’t have any more classes“, he said

“I have one more class today then I’m free”

“Okay then. I’ll see you next semester“, he said.

“Okay. Thank you“.

I headed straight to classes. After my class I headed to the country club and found Darla. I told her everything.

“I need to leave Havenwood without a trace. I’ll be back when semester starts“, I said looking at her. Just then the door opened, and

Miles Came in.

“Dorian is here, he’s alone“. Miles said

“Okay. Miles Serve him. Keep him here. I’ll get Sky out of Havenwood without anyone seeing“. She said

“You’re leaving“? he asked.

“Just for semester break. I’ll be back, I promise. I just need some time away to clear my head“,

“Okay, I’ll miss you“, he said as he hugged me.

I said bye to him and Darla and I left, she drove me straight to Castroville four hundred miles away then I got onto a bus that would take me straight to Brentford.

Four days later I was standing in front of the orphanage. Sister Maget saw me and came to me. All she did was touch my shoulder and I broke. I cried as if my life depended on it.
