Talia nodded and gently pulled her wrist out of Kayson’s grasp, her voice barely above a whisper.
“I’ve been to prison, and your family might have an issue with that. What if we don’t get along well after we’re married, or…”
Kayson’s eyes narrowed as he seemed to be thinking of something, and for a moment, his expression darkened.
When Talia looked up at him, the corners of his lips curled up once again.
“We won’t get a divorce. And as long as you don’t want one, we never will.”
This was the first time Talia had taken a good, close look at him.
A gentle breeze blew outside the window. Kayson stood with half of his body bathed in sunlight, and the light slanted across his face.
He stared at Talia intently, and though his dark eyes were calm, they conveyed an incredibly firm resolve.
Talia was taken aback, feeling that those eyes were extremely alluring.

When he turned around and saw Talia still standing there, dazed and not moving, he turned back and grabbed her wrist.
“What are you waiting for?” The corners of Kayson’s thin lips curled up, and his low voice carried a hint of joy. “Let’s go to the City Hall.”

The lady boss scratched her head in confusion.

Just then, his phone rang again. The moment he picked up the phone and walked outside, Kayson turned off the TV

She didn’t say anything and finished the food on her plate. When she walked out of the restaurant, Kayson had just hung up the phone.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to send you home?”
He knew that her situation in the Taylor family wasn’t pleasant.
